Speech & Drama
These lessons increase students’ skills to communicate confidently. Lessons begin with using creative drama in the form of improvisation and acting scripted scenes. Through drama, students learn the foundation skills of how to use their voice and body to communicate most effectively.
These skills are then built on to present clear and engaging reading of texts. Followed by delivering unstructured performances, such as telling creative stories and presenting talks.
This process of moving from structured tasks to tasks that students create in the moment instills a high level of communication competence.
